Accenture, a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, through its Recruitment Sourcing Lead – Mr. Yuri M. Gagarin and his team conducted a recruitment process last January 13, 2015 with the school’s graduating students. Forty-five (45) students successfully hurdled the process and met the requirements needed by the company. They will comprise the first group of employees to be trained in the different offices of the company in Manila for deployment to its delivery center located in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte by January of 2016.
Five of the students who passed the requirements were also invited to attend the Time Capsule Laying Ceremony and Reception held at the Valdez Center. They were accompanied by Shey Pia G. Abaya, one of the officers-in-charge of the Guidance Center and the campus contact of Accenture for DWCL. Joining her for the said event were the Dr. Frelyn B. Ranay, dean of the School of Business and Accountancy, Dr. Libertine R. Macaspac, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Jobello L. Remular, president of the Faculty and Personnel Association, Bro. Alfredo B. Corton, SVD, the Vice-President for Administration and Rev. Fr. Reynaldo B. Jimenez, SVD, the President.
Mariel C, Batara, a graduating student of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program was tasked by one of the heads of Accenture to speak about her experience in undergoing the recruitment process. She was also one of those chosen by the company to attend a press conference with Governor Imee R. Marcos the following day.
