In support to the survivors of this devastation, the Pastoral Student Council of the Grade School of Divine Word College of Laoag led by Sita Andrea Bumanglag spearheaded a program by selling pins within and even outside the school campus together with their advisers Ms. Lucia Juan and Ms. Theresa Tolentino. The High School Department supported this project by joining the said activity. All students were given button pins with the words “ A Heart for Tacloban” . The pins are worth 20 pesos each. Some students even ordered dozens of these to be sold outside campus. Its proceeds will be sent to typhoon victims. The button pins were released on November 25, 2013 after the mass for the Yolanda victims at the College Gymnasium.
