Divine Word College of Laoag DWCL
DIVINE WORD COLLEGE OF LAOAG hosted a 2-day OBE seminar workshop attended by the academic heads and some faculty of the 3 PHN Colleges, Divine Word College of Abra, Vigan, and Laoag on July 18 and 19, 2019. The two-day seminar was meant to craft the framework of the OBE system of the three schools. The First day was dedicated to defining and aligning course outcomes to program outcomes based on curricular programs and on the second day was for making of syllabuses.
The success of the seminar workshop is primarily attributed to the resource speaker who is a guru in OBE, a Curriculum and Instructional Development Officer and a Department Chair and Associate Professor of the Engineering Department of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Engr. Luis K. Cabatingan. Sharing of ideas and experiences by the participants during the output presentations likewise added to an enriched learning on OBE.
This academic engagement was ably supported by the school presidents: Fr. Nerio Joseph A. Artienda, SVD of DWCLaoag and Fr. Edsel R. Demillo, SVD of DWCVigan as well as Fr. Gil T. Manalo, SVD and was coordinated by the DWC- LAOAG VP for Academic Affairs, Dr.Gladys Jean Q. Basilio.
