Director Diego of CHED Region I leads the DWCL In-house OBE Curriculum Design and Development Workshop

The members of the Academic Council composed of the Deans, selected faculty, Program heads and Chairs, gathered on May 7, 2018 at the DWCL Hostel for the In-house Curricular Programs design and development Workshop. The workshop aim was to craft the DWCL Outcomes-Based Education Curricular Programs in conformance to the memoranda from the Commission on Higher Education.

Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego, Regional Director of CHED Region 1 together with three members of the Commission’s Technical unit served as resource speakers: Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, Jr. Chief Education Program Specialist, Mr. Danilo B. Bose, supervising Education Program Specialist, Dr. Reynaldo D. Agcaoili while five CHED members facilitated namely: Mr. Arnold V. Ancheta, Ms. Christianne Lynnette C. Casem, Engr. Angelica Q. Dolores, Dr. Mayrose L. Quezon and Dr. Melquiades Ancheta, all of them are Education Supervisor II.

Guided by the DWCL Vision, Mission and Goals (VMG), the CHED Team facilitated the crafting of the Institutional Outcomes of a DWCL graduate basis in formulating the different Program outcomes including other important aspects to complete the curricular design and development.

Fr. Nerio Joseph Artienda, DWCL President, closed the day’s activities with his inspiring message on the pursuit for quality education through a very well crafted Curriculum for all programs. Registrar Janette Lazaro was the Emcee while Prof. Romana L. Bitancor, VP for External and Alumni Affairs, introduced the lead Resource Speaker.

Finally, on June 4, 2018, the DWCL Team composed of the Deans, VPAA and the President proceeded to CHED Regional Office for the final critiquing and contents notation of the Curricular Program outputs. Dr. Gladys Jean Q. Basilio, VP for Academic Affairs, spearheaded this laudable endeavor. All is set for school year 2018-2019.
