DWCL HOLDS SCHOLARS’ RECOGNITION PROGRAM


A special recognition program was held on September 20, 2017 for all the 133 DWCL scholars commending their excellent performance in academics, arts, sports, support services and campus journalism.
A thanksgiving mass presided by our DWCL President, Rev. Fr. Nerio Joseph A. Artienda, was offered at the beginning of the program.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gladys Jean Q. Basilio welcomed the parents and expressed appreciation for their valued presence likewise citing their great role in carrying out the school’s Vision and Mission to produce quality students and graduates.


The scholars presented to their parents the certificates awarded to them in appreciation of their unconditional love and support. Witnessing this momentous occasion were the Father President Rev. Fr. Nerio Joseph A. Artienda, SVD, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gladys Jean Q. Basilio , Vice President for External Affairs, Romana L. Bitancor, Dean Frelyn B. Ranay, Dean Libertine Gertrude R. Macaspac, Dean Egdonna A. Quinto, Registrar/ Scholarship Coordinator Janette R. Lazaro and Scholars’ Advisers.

In addition, the scholars showed a video presentation expressing messages of gratitude to their parents. The Talugading Choir serenaded the parents with a song while the Band members, minorettes and majorettes did an exhibition number to the tune of the DWCL Hymn.
The Vice President for External Affairs toured the parents inside the school campus showcasing the facilities through a video presentation. She also solicited their assistance to bring in more students to enroll at DWCL.
“Be who you are, but strive harder, Be better than yesterday and always give your best.” The words of the Fr. President in his homily that must have inspired everyone in the assembly.
The countdown has begun as the school approaches the Diamond Jubilee of our institution. All intentions are focused on the theme of this year, Year of Integrity, which is, “We make life brighter in the Light of the World.”
All students, parents, teachers, personnel and administrators are earnestly asked to partake in giving simple, personal and meaningful manifestations of the theme.
