“Moving towards DWCL’s typology-based and Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance”

What does it take for a Catholic school like DWCL to nurture a culture of quality?
A seminar-workshop was conducted at the DWCL Learning Resource Center on August 24, 2017 with the participation of the college faculty and personnel to set the pace for the school to rationalize the academic programs through Typology as prescribed by CMO 46 S. 2012. Brief discussions on the timeliness and relevance of typology to espouse culture of quality in school, the typology for DWCL, and the DWCL Vision-Mission-Goals Attributes of an Ideal Graduate, were presented.

Grouped accordingly, the participants in the workshop were made to identify attributes of an IDEAL Divinian Graduate in accordance with the school’s VMG in terms of competencies, values and qualities. Each of the 5 groups presented their output, a very useful data in making a REAL identity of a DWCL graduate.

Resource persons and facilitators in the seminar workshop include;  Dr.Gladys Jean Q. Basilio, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Prof. Romana L. Bitancor, Vice President for External and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Nimfa Catbagan, Director for Quality Assurance and  with the able assistance of the head of the HRD, Alwyn Paul Albano.

Fr. Nerio Joseph Artienda, SVD, DWCL President, capped the seminar-workshop with his observations and set the direction of immediate and future strategies enjoining the employees to cooperate in working towards the highest ideals of quality, implement in DWCL CHED Memo 46 which is a pathway in nurturing a culture of quality, the road to achieving the mission and vision of the DWCL.
