The Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) of Manila headed by Hon. Gloria Baysa, Board of Accountancy member and Ms. Merly M. Gabin of the PRC Standards and Inspection Division visited the school on July 3, 2019 for the purpose of inspecting the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program. Dean Frelyn Ranay of the School of Business and Accountancy together with the faculty members of the BSA program and in the presence of the Fr. President Nerio Joseph A. Artienda, SVD have had a short but comprehensive discussion with Hon. Baysa on the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 pursuant to Republic Act 898 and other related matters such as research, performance in the CPA board exams, faculty qualifications, facilities and retention policies.
With the valuable insights shared by Hon. Baysa, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gladys Jean Q. Basilio, the Dean, Dr. Frelyn Ranay and the Faculty, Ms. Alyssa Colobong, and Mr. Rusell Menor now look forward to their full compliance of the provisions of the Republic Act to include earned 12 units in Education. The general result of the assessment of the school’s Accountancy Program through this PRC visit, is Very Good. The School of Business and Accountancy deserves our Congratulations!
